TikTok: How the daily time limit will work
From the next few weeks All accounts belonging to users under the age of 18 will be set to the usage time limit which, in fact, will be 60 minutes a day. Once the time limit is reached, an access code will be requested.
The 60 minute limit will be deactivated, but TikTok will notify the same users if the usage time exceeds 100 minutes per day. A sort of reminder, which will invite the user to set a new daily limit.
TikTok explained that the 60-minute decision was made “after consulting with academic research and experts at Boston Children’s Hospital’s Digital Wellness Lab.” Through the Family Connection parents will also be able to schedule access times to the appthus limiting the use of TikTok to certain time slots.
