The Premium Plus plan is currently only available on desktop, but X has announced that it will soon also be extended to Android and iOS applications. However, mobile users may have to pay an additional fee for the plan, due to the fees that X has to pay to Apple and Google for distributing the apps.
X introduced paid subscription plans as a strategy to counter declining revenue. The decline is largely due to the decrease in users and advertising, often due to the controversial (statements) of Elon Musk. With Premium plans, X hopes to attract new users and retain existing ones by offering them exclusive services and benefits.
