Until Dawnthe famous horror video game released for the PlayStation 4 console, will soon become a film. PlayStation Productions and Screen Gems announced it.
What we know about the Until Dawn movie
As confirmed by the company, the film will be directed by David F. Sandberg (Shazam!) and produced by Gary Dauberman (per Coin Operated Productions), David Sandberg e Lotta Losten (Mangata), Roy Lee (Vertigo Entertainment) e Asad Qizilbash e Carter Swan (PlayStation Productions).
Dauberman will also supervise the script which will be signed by Blair Butler (author of the horror film The Invitation, released in 2022). Screen Gems (via The Hollywood Reporter) describes the film adaptation as “a love letter to the horror genre with an ensemble cast“. A cast that, however, has not yet been made official.
The plot will follow that of the video game, released in 2015 for PlayStation 4. The game tells the story of eight friends who find themselves trapped in a mountain refuge, where they must face a series of dangers and mysteries. The player’s choices influence the fate of the characters and the ending of the story.
