According to a poll by the American newspaper The Washington Post (owned by Jeff Bezos), users trust Amazon and Google more than Apple as for the management of their personal data. Despite Apple’s media campaign in support of the protection of privacy, in fact, the Cupertino company records lower numbers in terms of user trust than Google and, above all, Amazon.
Amazon surpasses Apple when it comes to users’ trust in handling personal data
According to the survey released in these hours, Amazon obtains the highest score for trust in the management of their personal data by users. 53% of respondents trust to let Amazon manage their personal data. In second position we find Google with 48% while Apple it is further behind, at 44%, ahead Microsoft, al 43%.
In addition to Apple, Amazon, Google and Microsoft, the survey also considered other important realities of the web. Among these is YouTube, which scores worse than Google despite being owned by the company. Social networks were also judged. The services of Meta (Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp) e TikTok they didn’t get great results from users. Facebook, in particular, is the service that is frowned upon when it comes to privacy, ahead of its competitor TikTok.
