Users ofApple Watch 7 they enjoyed it very much the fast charging option of the smartwatch. At least until last week. According to a report by 9to5Mac, in fact, some users complain that the function has started having problems with update to watchOS 8.5. A thorny issue, of course. But let’s try to understand if the problem is real or not.
watchOS 8.5: Users complain about Apple Watch 7 fast charging issues
Fast charging is an exclusive of the Apple Watch 7. According to reports from Apple, this option would allow to bring the smartwatch from 0 to 80% of the battery in about 45 minutes. Unfortunately, in the last few days, a lot of users are complaining that their device charges slower than ever. A couple of people, for example, reported on Reddit that the Apple Watch reached 5% charge in about 20 minutes. And one user even complained on the Apple forum stating that his smartwatch had taken an hour to reach the same percentage. In short, a not exactly pleasant issue for Apple Watch 7 owners.
Initially, it seemed that the problem might only affect those using Belkin’s BoostCharge Pro 3-in-1. But apparently the question would seem to be much more complex. Apple’s official charger also seems to have the same problem. Therefore, the only factor common to all the complaints of users would seem to be the update to watchOS 8.5. There is only one consideration to be made in this regard: considering Apple’s usual behavior, it is rather strange that the company has not yet released any statements on the matter. Or hasn’t even announced a definitive solution. Was it really watchOS 8.5 that caused this problem then?
