The functionality, already present on the competitor Telegramwill arrive on the Meta messaging service very soon, as it is already present in the beta version of the iPhone app.
How to search for messages by date on WhatsApp
Users will be able to set a specific date in the “search” section and the app will return all the results of the day in question, including audio messages, photos, videos and GIFs. The functionality can be used both in individual chats and in the “home” of the app. In this case all the individual conversations of the set day will appear. You can also indicate keywords to further filter your search. Another novelty detected in the Beta version for iPhone (via WaBetaInfo) is the possibility of insert voice notes within your WhatsApp status.
The app has also recently implemented chats with yourself, a useful feature for sending notes, memos and files to yourself. To do this, simply open the chat menu and start a new one. Your account will now appear at the top of your contact list. Just press on this option to access the chat with yourself.
