In battle royale players can:

  • Survive on a shrinking map until a winner is crowned.
  • Participate to advance the rewards path, regardless of the outcome of the battle.

Other new features in the update include:

  • Power-ups and Abilities. Players can upgrade their skills to epic level (level 3), facing rare NPCs and searching for hidden treasures. The event features a dedicated UI and abilities exclusive to this mode.
  • Progress and Rewards. Progress is tied to the Battle.net account, allowing players to advance up to level 40 in the Longlegs Crew Fame path. The rewards obtained will be valid for both modern WoW and WoW Classic, including a new parrot mount and a pet. For modern WoW players, there are also transmog rewards.

The Season 4 PTR will begin this week, marking a different approach than previous updates. The updates will be available in the public test realm and officially released in the coming weeks.
