Artificial Intelligence is now everywhere, and the world of video games is no different. Microsoft is apparently developing it Xbot, an Artificial Intelligence-based chatbot to be implemented on Xbox consoles.
How Xbot, Xbox's Artificial Intelligence, will work
The Xbot is designed to automate game refund processes and for manage support requests efficiently and intuitively. Using AI's ability to understand and process natural language, Xbot promises to simplify interaction with support servicesallowing users to receive immediate assistance through simple and direct questions.
The prototype, currently being tested internally by Microsoft, features an animated character that guides users through the various Xbox support topics.

that's how Haiyan Zhanggeneral manager of gaming AI at Xbox, described the project to The Verge:
“We're testing an Xbox Support Virtual Agent, an internal prototype of an animated character that can query Xbox support topics with voice or text. The prototype makes it easier and faster to assist players with support issues using natural language, drawing information from existing Xbox support pages.”
As anticipated, Xbot will not only be an interactive version of the Xbox FAQ, but will be able to carry out specific and pragmatic operations (such as processing refunds to users).
In the meantime, while waiting for Xbot's tests, Microsoft has announced the first wave of April's free games on Xbox Game Pass.
