Epic Games Store has revealed the next two free games that users will be able to redeem at no cost: these are XCOM 2 and Insurmountable.
Epic Games Store: XCOM 2 is also among next week’s free games
From April 14 to 21, Epic Games Store account holders will be able to add XCOM 2 to their game library for free. Developed by Firaxis Games, the title was the sequel to 2012’s XCOM: Enemy Unknown. It is a turn-based strategic-tactical video game set in the year 2035. Players will manage the commander of an organization leading the resistance against the alien occupants. To fight the invaders you will need to carry out missions, often in time.
The game was praised by critics upon its release in 2016, especially for the importance of decision making. A poorly thought-out choice can in fact lead to the permanent loss of the members of your team. As far as we know, only the base game will be free, while the various DLCs will be purchased separately.
But that’s not all: Insurmountable will also arrive for free from 14 April, also a mountaineering roguelike, featuring mountains, hundreds of events to experience and three characters to play with.
