Xiaomi 11T Pro review: 120 watt charging is reality

Xiaomi 11T Pro he is the first of a new lineage, that one without the “E” in between. This little addition, always
present in the smartphones of the Chinese giant, it accompanied Xiaomi in its internationalization process.
Today the brand is so well established that it no longer needs the “Mi”

But what else is new in this smartphone? Let’s find out together in the Xiaomi 11T Pro review.

The Xiaomi 11T Pro video review

Charging at 120 watts

Xiaomi 11T Pro recharges at 120 watts

Xiaomi 11T Pro is the first smartphone with fast charging at 120 watts. This allows him to pass 0 to 100%
in 17 minutes, which rise to 24 if the device is completely grounded and the battery icon does not even appear.

We expected something more on the autonomy front. The 5,000 mAh gave us about 3 and a half hours of screen. However, we had the impression that the autonomy improved with the passage of time, with the possibility that it will be further optimized with the next updates.

Top-of-the-range hardware

Xiaomi 11T Pro performance

Xiaomi 11T Pro integra Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, flanked by 8GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB of
internal memory. A top-of-the-range configuration that allows you to really do everything: from watching a movie to surfing the net.
It holds all kinds of activities, without overheating.

On the connectivity front we have everything you need: Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS and – unmissable – 5G with Dual SIM support.

The software also ensures maximum versatility. There MIUI 12.5 includes a ton of additional features. A few examples? You have the opportunity to separate the notification bar. A swipe on the right side thus allows you to access the smartphone settings and your smart home, while a swipe on the left side opens the curtain with notifications. It is an intelligent solution, although it is not suitable for everyone. We, for example, have preferred the traditional version.

However, this is only one of the options available. The MIUI features are now many and all to be discovered.

Un display a 120 Hz

Xiaomi 11T pro display review

The newcomer integrates a 6.67-inch displaylici. It is an AMOLED with FullHD + resolution and a frequency of
update of 120 Hz.

Xiaomi 11T Pro also takes advantage of TrueColor technology, returns 1 billion colors, supports HDR10 + and has a peak brightness of 1000 nits. All this technical information translates into vivid, bright and natural colors and in
an extremely smooth user experience. In short, it is perfect for playing games, watching a movie or simply
view your shots.

Also know that it is possible customize the experience through a series of options that include the type of
color scheme, temperature, super resolution and much more. If you then want to earn something in
terms of autonomy you can switch to 60 Hz at any time.

Xiaomi 11T Pro review: important dimensions

The huge display of the Xiaomi 11T Pro translates into quite important dimensions. In fact, not everyone will be able to manage the smartphone with one hand, also thanks to the 204 grams of weight.
The build quality, however, is very high. There are no strange wrens; plus the metal frame and Gorilla Glass
Victus make it really super tough.

Instead, we lose something on the design front. The raised module, the brushed effect of the back cover and the central hole of the camera are all elements that we know well. On the other hand we have the infrequent fingerprint reader integrated in the power button. An uncommon choice that we particularly appreciated: the position is really very comfortable and the lightning release.

We then report the presence of the writing Harman / Kardon on the top profile of the smartphone, so as to remind you that the speaker have been calibrated with a company specializing in sound. The result? We have clear sound, high volume and even support for Dolby Atmos.

The Xiaomi 11T Pro camera

Xiaomi 11T Pro camera review

The rear module includes a 108 megapixel main sensor, manufactured by Samsung, and capable of
support recording in 8K and with HDR10 +. Then we have the 8 megapixel wide-angle and a lens
2x 5 megapixel telemacro.

The shots are pretty good, especially when we use the main sensor. In good scene condition
enlightened indeed we can enjoy good precision in the reproduction of details and a balance of
color that tends slightly to cold but is still natural.
Sharpness drops using the wide-angle and macro cameras, which, however, can give us several
satisfactions if used creatively, obviously at a very short distance from the subject. It is created in fact a good blur that makes the point of focus stand out from the rest of the scene.
Shooting against the light we have some artifacts too many, while rather than shooting using the zoom
digital personally I suggest you to make some crop maybe from a photo at 108MP.
Overall, the photographic sector is perhaps not the best developed feature of this Xiaomi 11T Pro, but some beautiful photographs you can definitely take home.

And the videos? You can register filmati in 8K a 30 fps. If, on the other hand, you prefer 60 fps you will have to “settle” for 4K or
FullHD. All in all the results are convincing with all available resolutions, 8K even.
We then have available all the cinematic effects that Xiaomi had already proposed with Mi 11. The result is not quite Hollywood but you can certainly make your clips more original.

Xiaomi 11T Pro review: is it worth it?

At this point it is time to draw conclusions. Xiaomi 11T Pro it keeps some of the promises of the “T” line of the Chinese giant.

We therefore have a product that behaves like a top of the range, sold at a reasonable price – starting from € 649.90 – and equipped with that small technological upgrade that anticipates the novelties of the following year. In this case the “small upgrade” is the 120 watt charging. Too bad only for the battery that could perhaps offer a little more. It is true that with 5 minutes of charging you have 4 hours of video playback but it is also true that we would all prefer to forget the charger at home and use it only before going to sleep.

That said, Xiaomi 11T Pro is a great smartphone, with top-of-the-range performance, a great display and all the connectivity you need. To get it, however, you will have to wait until 28 September.
