Persona celebrates its 25th anniversary today, September 20, and Atlus showed the first of seven announced projects, including a new game.
In addition to celebrating the five years since the release of Persona 5, the 25th anniversary allowed for the presentation of news related to the saga. During the past few weeks Atlus has announced merchandise belonging to both the most popular chapters, such as Persona 3, Persona 4 and Persona 5, and lesser known ones, such as the first two games. However, the development house certainly still has some cards to discover, and the rumors regarding the various projects – including a new Persona game – are getting louder.
Today’s announcement and fan expectations for the new Persona game
“Persona 25th Times Volume 1”, video released today and presented by Morgana, contains the dates of the events that Atlus will hold in 2021. Among them, a Special Orchestra Concert at the Tokyo Opera Hall on November 21: it is an annual concert with the music of the series rearranged in a classical orchestral key , and that often brings several interesting announcements. To follow, it was confirmed that Lyn, the lead singer of Persona 5, will be holding a mini-concert during the #LOVE_SEGA Special Live on October 3, at the Tokyo Games Show Online 2021.
On the new Persona game, Morgana says she also has something else in store for fans, but decides to postpone the topic. Meanwhile, the rumors about a remake of Persona 3 Portable continue to circulate on the web, and the pressure for new information about the future chapter is getting more and more biting. It may be that Atlus intends to stay longer, ahead of Shin Megami Tensei V’s release on November 12th. At the moment, we only know that the revelation of the second project will take place in December.
