Apple intends to bring new variants of its function Time to Walk to subscribers Apple Fitness+. “Time to Run” and “Audio Meditations” are on the way, the new features that will debut together during the launch of the Apple Watch Series 7, according to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman. Let’s find out all the details of these new functions together.
Time to Walk is renewed: here are the new variants of Apple
Time to Walk debuted in January: it’s about audio stories of influential people that Apple Watch users can listen to with AirPods or other cuffie wireless while walking, jogging or other activities.
Time to Walk episodes come automatically downloaded on the Apple Watch if you have a Fitness + subscription. Users can start an episode directly from the app Workout.
In his latest PowerOn newsletter, Gurman suggests that new variations on the running and meditation theme will come in Autumn, when Apple will launch theApple Watch Series 7. The new watch is expected to debut with a small redesign: it will feature a flatter display it’s a updated screen technology. It will likely also feature a faster processor.
When the audio stories arrive, Apple Fitness + subscribers will presumably be able to open the Workout app on an Apple Watch, select “Time to Run” and choose one of the audio stories to listen to during their run. That said, the “Audio Meditations” seem less training / fitness oriented, then it is not entirely clear where they will be available.
Meanwhile, Apple continued to improve the Fitness + interface in subsequent beta versions of iOS 15. The company has in fact introduced additional filters for certain types of training, such as “Equipment” and “Body Focus” in the Strength category.
