The Nevers, new sci-fi series set in Victorian London, will make its debut on Sky from April 12: here is the official trailer
If you are a fan of the hit TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, then you can’t miss the new project from its creator, Joss Whedon. Although Whedon then abandoned it to pass it on to his collaborator Philippa Goslett, we expect to find a fascinating mix between magic and adventure.
The Nevers will be a sci-fi series set in Victorian London. From the April 12 the original version with subtitles will be available on Sky Atlantic and streaming on Now, simultaneously with the American broadcast. If, on the other hand, you do not really want to know to read while you follow the events, just wait a week, since the April 19 it will be broadcast instead the dubbed version in Italian.

The period drama a tinte fantascientifiche follows the events of a group of women from the Victorian era. What is their peculiarity? They all have extraordinary powers, which will lead them to fight against dangerous enemies who will try to stop them from fulfilling their mission.
The protagonist of the series is Amanda True, played by Laura Donnelly (Outlander), the most reckless but also the most emotionally vulnerable. His shoulder is Penance Adair, played by Ann Skelly (Red Rock), a young inventor. Together with them we find Lavinia Bidlow (la Olivia Williams of Maps to the star), the leader of the group of heroines (the so-called “Touched”). In their adventures, the girls are joined by Hugo Swann (James Norton), a charming pansexual at the head of a secret club and extortion ring, and Augustus “Augie” Bidlow (Tom Riley), a nerd fond of ornithology.
The cast will also find Rochelle Neil, Eleanor Tomlinson, Amy Manson, Pip Torrens, Denis O’Hare, Zackary Momoh, Elizabeth Berrington, Kiran Sawar, Anna Devlin, Viola Prettejohn, Ella Smith, Nick Frost and Ben Chaplin. Among the executive producers, there are Philippa Goslett (also writer and showrunner), Bernadette Caulfield, Ilene S. Landress, Doug Petrie and Jane Espenson.
