Forspoken: here are all the news on the project
In the course of his adventure, Frey will learn how to use dozens of different types of spells that will allow her to cast powerful spells as she traverses the beautiful but cruel world of Athia. Frey’s mission to Athia will lead her to travel through various landscapes, where she will use her parkour skills with a magical touch to get around. This dynamic and acrobatic movement, enhanced by Frey’s magical abilities, allows her to soar, glide and float across Athia’s vast landscapes smoothly and quickly.
Other notable Forspoken characters also appear in the trailer, including Frey’s companion, a magical and sentient bracelet named Cuff, voiced by Jonathan Cake (Stargirl), who will help her travel through Athia. Players will also see Tantha Sila, a mad and evil monarch, as she faces Frey in an explosive and action-packed battle. The debut of Tantha Sila, whose voice is the actress and musician Janina Gavankar (True Blood), gives fans a preview of the formidable enemies that await them in Athia.
In addition, Square Enix and Luminous Productions have collaborated with the Hollywood screenwriter Gary Whitta (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), and with the award-winning writer and director Amy Hennig (Uncharted series), who developed the storytelling concept. After taking the reins as the main screenwriters for the story, the talented Allison Rymer (Shadowhunters) e Todd Stashwick (Devil Inside) have created a story of personal discovery.
Finally, the soundtrack was composed by BAFTA award winners Bear McCreary (God of War) e Garry Schyman (Bioshock series). Together they consolidated the nature of the game by inviting players to immerse themselves in a world of crowds accompanied by electronic beats with a fantasy tone.
