Almost a year after the release of Xbox Series X|S, consoles now support Dolby Vision for gaming. More than 100 titles optimized for Dolby Vision HDR are available or coming soon, including Halo Infinite. Microsoft claims that thousands of other games will get an increase in HDR10 or Auto HDR picture quality thanks to Dolby Vision.

To get the full experience, you will obviously need one Dolby Vision compatible TV with gaming features like automatic low latency mode and active variable refresh rate. According to Microsoft, depending on the capabilities of your display, you’ll get up to 40x brighter whites, 10x deeper black levels, and up to 12-bit color depth. Dolby Vision can work alongside other features such as ray tracing.

Dolby e Xbox they are collaborating with developers to help them get the most out of Dolby Vision. They are also working with TV manufacturers on firmware updates to support Dolby Vision a 120 Hz.

When connected to an enabled TV and Dolby Vision enabled on the Xbox Series X | S, the consoles will automatically enhance your existing games to deliver a rich and immersive experience unrivaled with any other game console. “
Microsoft started public testing of Dolby Vision on consoles in March and it is now available to everyone. While Xbox does not have exclusive Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos as far as consoles are concerned, Xbox Series X | S are the only ones with Dolby Vision support for now.
