Electronic Arts and DICE have revealed the details relating to the progression that will characterize the next Battlefield 2042
It took a while, but as we revealed yesterday, finally DICE and Electronic Arts have announced the period in which the highly anticipated open beta will be held Battlefield 2042. Among other things object of the reveal, however, the details that the publisher and developer have outlined regarding the progression system which will characterize the title, as well as the functioning of the cosmetic elements.
Battlefield 2042: progression system revealed
As always, of course, at the center of everything we will find obtaining experience points, which will play a central role within the unlocking process, and which will be influenced by the different actions we perform, such as kills, assists and so on. The will also return Cockades, which will be divided into three distinct tiers, each able to guarantee more and more points, as we complete the various objectives. These are some examples:
- Target cockade – Participate in the goal
- Right Arm Cockade – Support teammates with various revives and assists
- Logistics cockade – Heal and refuel companions, as well as repair vehicles
- Intel cockade – Discover and annihilate enemies, either by using EMPs or by destroying drones
- Combat Cockade – Get kills and destroy vehicles
The maximum player level will be set at 99 at the time of the launch, and after its achievement the S-level. These can go up to range S999, and they will not confer any kind of reward, they will simply be a source of pride for the player. Leveling up will also unlock new weapons and gadgets, as well as cosmetic items, but there will also be a degree of Mastery related to guns, vehicles and Specialists. For example, killing enemies with the M5A3 assault rifle will allow you to get a new scope, while capturing control points with vehicles will unlock new equipment.
Furthermore, upon reaching certain objectives, you will be able to earn brand new skins and new Mastery Badges per la Player Card, which can be customized with icons, images, titles and up to a maximum of 3 Badges. These elements are related to the leveling up, in addition to the completion of specific actions.
All this, as for the cosmetic elements, can be obtained simply by playing, but also by spending real money. The various items will be available in 4 different degrees of rarity: Gray (Common), Blue (Rare), Purple (Epic), and Gold (Legendary). For Specialists, the Rare and Epic skins will have a helmet and a suit of which we can mix the elements. As for the weapons, however, the skins will apply to the whole object, including the matching accessories, such as sights.
