Grand Theft Auto: here are the beloved titles present in the remastered
In August, Kotaku reported that the remastered from Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City e Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas they were in the final stages of development at Rockstar Dundee, the studio formerly known as Ruffian Games until it was acquired by Take Two in October last year.
The site suggested the initial plan was to release the remastered games in October or November 2021 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Switch, PC, Stadia, and mobile phones, although Kotaku’s editors also claimed that PC and mobile versions could have been postponed as Rockstar was prioritizing console ports.
Later in August, Tom Henderson, a well-known insider of the videogame industry, stated that he too was likely to launch the remastered trilogy, but that his sources had indicated a release “in 2022“.
Henderson specifically said: “I didn’t mention the GTA Remastered trilogy, because everything I’ve heard has already been said. The only difference is that I don’t think the launch period is correct ”. Rockstar’s owner Take-Two also confirmed in August that it was planning to launch three unannounced remastered. The publisher had previously suggested that they are not interested in creating “simple ports“. Rockstar Dundee is also reportedly working on developing the re-release of Grand Theft Auto V for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S, which will be released on November 11th.
With regard to Grand Theft Auto 6, the game could still be four years after release and feature an expanding map set in Vice City. This is what Henderson said in July. The same claims were supported by Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier, as well as VGC sources.
