Best smartphone | October 2021: our guide
Our lists are based on the list price or in any case on the price available in the main distribution chains, without discounts applied. During promotional periods such as Black Friday e Cyber Monday, as well as in the days before Christmas, prices may undergo decreases which will be to our advantage.
For convenience we have decided to focus on five price ranges, so as to adapt the selection to any type of wallet or need. Mainly we will see smartphones with an operating system Android, given that the various models of iPhone they are all in the last range because of the price. Let’s get started right away.

Best smartphone under 200 euros
Let’s start with the lowest end of the market, namely smartphones around 100 euros, those dedicated to those who have no great demands and want to save as much as possible.
Realme C21
MediaTek processor, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory (expandable) for Realme C21. The Chinese smartphone can also count on a triple camera and a large 5000 mAh battery.
The price? Alone 129€.
Realme 8
Realme it’s a pretty new brand. This doesn’t mean you should underestimate it – the company is leading the way with its low-priced products and great specs. In particular Realme 8, for sale in € 199 in the 4/64 GB version and € 229 in the 6/128 GB version, comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display, a MediaTek Helio G95 processor and a 64 megapixel main camera that is flanked by the 8 MP wide angle, the 2 MP macro and a 2 MP sensor dedicated to the bokeh effect .

Best smartphone under 300 euros
We finally arrive at the threshold of the mid-range, the one where everyone is trying to position themselves by offering an affordable price and slightly more thrusting features. But which is the best 2020 smartphone with these features? As always, the contenders are different.
Redmi Note 10 Pro
The Redmi Note 9 Pro had already conquered us and the 10 Pro certainly couldn’t be outdone. To characterize it an excellent AMOLED screen, an above average camera, excellent autonomy and obviously a competitive price: the version of Redmi Note 10 Pro from 6/64 GB costs 299€ while we go up to 329 € for the 6/128 GB one and to 349 € for the 8/128 GB one.
Little X3
It just came out but it is already a must buy. Little X3, with its 6.67 ″ display, its 120 Hz refresh rate and Snapdragon 732G processor, it is perfect for video game lovers without requiring huge financial effort. You can take the 6/64 GB version home with you at 229 euro as we go up to 269 euro for that 6/128 GB.
Samsung Galaxy M31
Samsung Galaxy M31 combines an excellent AMOLED display with convincing hardware. Let’s not forget the 6,000 mAh maxi-battery that allows you to cover two days without major difficulties. If you love the Korean giant but don’t want to spend a fortune, this is the phone for you. The price? 279 euro.
Best smartphone under 500 euros
In this range we can indulge ourselves with many products. The mid-range has always been the most varied and well-stocked one, and has recently been enriched with a new competitor ready to defeat it, because it is not an Android device.
iPhone SE 2020
Who would have thought, a low cost iPhone really exists. Aesthetically it is very similar to iPhone but don’t be fooled: inside we find the latest generation A13 Bionic processor present on the iPhone 11 Pro in addition to the same main photo sensor. Top performances are really guaranteed, you can go with your eyes closed.
OnePlus Nord 2
OnePlus Nord 2 is the mid-range of the Chinese company but has very little to envy to the top of the range. The smartphone of the Chinese company comes with an excellent 90 Hz display, a performing hardware, a good battery and a really interesting camera. TO 399 euro it’s surely a deal to be missed, if you find it discounted, do not hesitate!
Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite
6.47-inch curved display, respectable hardware and a convincing photographic sector: these are the elements that make it Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite a smartphone not to be missed. The price is also very affordable: 369.90 euros for the 64 GB variant and € 399.90 for the 128 GB one.
Realme X2 Pro
A definitely price interesting, that is 449€, by a top of the range really well equipped. We have excellent build quality, accompanied by a nice display with 90 Hz refresh rate, top performance guaranteed by the Snapdragon 855+ and a really convincing camera.
Realme GT
Realme GT 5G it’s a true flagship killer: high-quality screen, top-of-the-range hardware, ultra-fast charging and an interesting camera. On board then you also have the always useful 3.5 mm jack. Best smartphone under 1000 euros
Finally, we come to the top of the range that wink at savings. In short, the less recent ones or in any case able to remain under the fateful threshold of 1000 euros.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G
Great processor, nice display and excellent photographic compartment for Galaxy S20 FE 5G. It is probably the member of the S20 family that offers the best value for money, taking advantage of the Snapdragon 865 which reduces consumption without sacrificing performance. Here you find the review.
iPhone 11
Not just Android, here we are in competition. It was necessary to insert the home devices Apple, despite the high price they remain excellent terminals with the most optimized operating system in the world (achieved only by the pure version of Android on Pixel 4). iPhone 11 is equipped with a Retina LCD screen, which is why the price is significantly lower than its big brother. However, it remains an excellent device, from the large battery to the chipset that makes it lightning fast. The wide range of colors in which we can buy it is fantastic, for all tastes.
Motorola Edge
It was a great and very pleasant surprise. Motorola Edge, the new top of the range of the American company, turned out to be a very complete device: excellent display, top performance, versatile camera and battery that guarantees you two days of intense use. Asus Zenfone 7
If you want to stay at home Asus, however, opting for a more sober smartphone, the solution is called Zenfone 7. With 699 euro bring home a performing device, with a 90 Hz display and an excellent battery. The camera is then motorized so you can use the same sensors for both classic shots and selfies. A great way to never sacrifice quality.
ASUS ROG Phone 5
With ASUS ROG Phone 5 it starts from 799 €. It’s not a smartphone for everyone but the target here is clear: ROG Phone 5 is meant for gamers, which is why it comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, a 144Hz display and 1ms response time, and a well 6000 mAh. Oppo Reno 6 Pro
Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G it is elegant, with a great display and with a battery that takes you into the evening without difficulty. Four rear camera module lenses which overall gives you really good results. In short, it is a good alternative for those who do not want to give up anything by spending less than € 1,000. The price? 799,99 €.

OnePlus 9 Pro
OnePlus 9 Pro is the latest top of the range of the Chinese company and has arrived on the market a few days ago. Still enough time to be appreciated, thanks to the excellent performance but also to the partnership with Hasselblad that takes the photographic sector to a higher level.
You can find it for sale in 919 € for the 8 / 128GB version or € 999 for the 12/256 GB one.
I live X60 Pro
I live X60 Pro it lacks waterproofing but makes up for it with everything else: it is solid, aesthetically interesting, equipped with a photographic sector that has really convinced us and with a respectable hardware. In fact, under the body we find the Snapdragon 870 processor and 12 GB of RAM.

Samsung Galaxy S21 family
Samsung Galaxy S21 is the new top-of-the-range family of the Korean giant. Three smartphones that compose it: S21, S21 Plus and S21 Ultra.
