Despite constant denials, Nintendo Switch OLED could be the much-rumored next-gen console in the future, thanks to its new dock

This was according to a Bloomberg article, which it was promptly denied by Nintendo, categorically denying the existence of new models aimed at 4K, reiterating that the only advanced console that will see a future release will be the new Nintendo Switch OLED with attached dock.
Nintendo Switch OLED, the dock that conceals 4K
Even in September 2020, before the revelation of the new Nintendo Switch OLED, there was a lot of speculation about a possible model that would have allowed support for 4K, with the so-called “Switch Pro”. Switch Pro which was later revealed to be the OLED version. These rumors have always been supported by various somewhat suspicious evidence, such as the possible update it would undergo l’hardware of the dock rather than the Switch screen, by inserting a chip for the high resolution of 4K; and it is here that the new news and rumors begin to weigh: we remember that the Nintendo Switch OLED console will arrive with a brand new dock, which can also be purchased separately from the screen.
In the dock, according to an analysis carried out by YouTuber Nintendo Prime, which proceeded to disassemble it revealing the components, a door would be present HDMI 2.0, with cable included: this means that this will be the tool that will make the Switch OLED capable to produce images at 4K resolution, with 60 frames per second. Still, the OLED screen itself would not be compatible with this resolution, having an HDMI 1.4 port. We remember as Bloomberg was right regarding the fall launch, the increased price and the OLED display, while Nintendo still remains in a somewhat firm position on the matter.
