All Cyberpunk 2077 updates scheduled for this year have been postponed, and the same goes for the release of the DLCs announced at launch.
CD Projekt RED has already announced in recent weeks the need to postpone the next-gen versions of its two to 2022 latest titles, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077, which will see the release one in the first and the other in the second quarter of the year respectively. All this after the more than disastrous start of Cyberpunk 2077. Yet, as the study continues to show difficulty quite evident in fixing the game and creating adequate programming for updates and DLCs, it also seems to be planning various new creations: a proof of this is the acquisition of the studio The Molasses Flood, creator of The Flame in The Flood, which is will find to make games acclimatize in the worlds di Cyberpunk 2077 e The Witcher.
Cyberpunk 2077 updates and DLCs will be released next year
The latest update released on the platforms where the title is present dates back to September, with patch 1.31. This made substantial graphical changes to the game, especially with regard to errors in writing and displaying the interface. Dating back bugs have also been fixed since the time of release of the game, such as the management of pieces of equipment that duplicated themselves when creating others of greater rarity and various missions. In addition, the memory management of the GPU, even if the graphics quality will still remain rather low, considering that it is a console that is not sufficiently powerful for further graphics upgrades.
However, this update was just putting on a small patch to the rest of the numerous problems still to be solved in Cyberpunk 2077, and for this CD Projekt would have released yet other updates in these last months of the year, in addition to also declaring that it has planned the release of some DLC and the multiplayer mode, which maybe they would bring the players back to take the title. Yet, in the new roadmap published by the development studio it was revealed that all future updates will not arrive before 2022, thus confirming the absence of news until the end of the current year. The studio finally declares that it now wants to focus on fixing the most important parts of the game.
