Epic Games removes the Travis Scott-inspired emote and other game elements dedicated to him from Fortnite. Let’s find out all the details in this news
It has recently been reported by various sources that the Outer World emote, dedicated to Travis Scott, has been removed from the Fortnite shop, along with other game elements dedicated to him. Although Epic Games has not officially confirmed this, many think that this removal is associated with recent news stories regarding Scott’s concert, in which some people lost their lives.
The Out West emote and all game elements dedicated to Travis Scott removed from Fortnite
Last November 5th the Astroworld concert was held in Houston, which saw the participation of the American rapper Travis Scott’s winner. The event saw a huge turnout of fans, and unfortunately, in the crowd created, eight people lost their lives, while others were injured. Travis Scott (who is said to be destroyed by what happened), had, like other VIPs, a large following even among the Fortnite community, so much so that he even held virtual concerts within the famous battle royale and received some exclusive in-game elements, such as the Outer World emote, and other in-game items.
Now these in-game elements seem to have been completely eliminated from the shop, and are therefore no longer purchasable (even if those who already own them seem to be able to continue using them). Although the software house have not officially confirmed the connection between the above events and the removal of the add-ons dedicated to Scott, for many it seems obvious.
