Ubisoft presented, on November 8, High Caliber, the fourth and final season of Year 6 of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. This new season features a new Operator, Irish Thorn, equipped with Razorbloom Shells and a new weapon, the UZK50Gi, in addition to the reworked Outback map and many other new features.
In High Caliber, you’ll discover the new Defender, Thorn, equipped with Razorbloom Shells: proximity devices which, when activated, trigger a timed detonation. If the opposing players do not clear the area in time, they will be involved in the explosion when the timer runs out. Thorn is a medium armor and speed operator who can be equipped with the new UZK50Gi or M870 as a primary weapon and with 1911 TACOPS or C75-AUTO as a secondary weapon.
Additionally, the Outback map has been redesigned to improve player balance and comfort. Both the main building and the outdoor area have been modified to allow Attackers to plan and implement more effective strategies. New destructible exterior walls have been added to the building, and some areas have been remodeled and cleaned up to provide better lines of sight.
Additional High Caliber updates include:
– The choice of team colors between blue, orange or red;
– Balance update (Finka, Echo and Mozzie drones, a
bullet proof, new rules for external cameras);
– New customization possibility for Operator Cards, animations of
victory, colors and much more;
– New HUDs;
– A new version of Streamer Mode will be available later in the season
for a limited number of creators.
The High Caliber Server Test is online since November 9th. The Server Test has been updated and will be open at three different times during the season, the content will be divided into three different releases: the seasonal ST, available with Season 4, the ST Lab which includes experimental content and will be used to test options in early production and the balancing ST which will contain the Operator and other changes.
Any problems encountered in the Server Test on the updated R6 Fix platform can be shared at this link. This new platform is easier to navigate and offers new features such as ‘search’ or the ability for players to track bug updates for greater transparency. Additionally, double Battle Pass points can be earned from November 12-15.
