The technical features of OnePlus 10 Pro, the top of the range that should arrive in China between January and February 2022, to then have a global launch. From what emerges, no revolution compared to the model released this year. But a confirmation of what we have seen, with some really interesting improvements. Like the recharge it could go as far as 125W.
OnePlus 10 Pro: unveiled the characteristics of a true top of the range
In 2021, few Android smartphones have been able to compete for quality with the OnePlus 9 Pro. The company has been able to bring a snappy performance device, thanks to the first choice hardware and the software as always well done. But above all the collaboration with Hasselblad has allowed the top of the OnePlus range to rival the best in the field photographic. An aspect on which the company wants to consolidate what it has achieved this year.
Important confirmation for the camera
From the characteristics that emerged in these hours, OnePlus 10 Proor should have a camera system on the same model as seen last year. In fact, on the back we will find three top quality sensors:
- A main camera from 48MP
- Ultra-wide da 50MP
- A telephoto from 8MP with 2x optical zoom
As you can see from this render (confirmed by the first leaked covers), the arrangement will however be different, more square. But the substance remains more or less the same, although the same sensors as last year are not confirmed. OnePlus confirms collaboration with Swedish manufacturer Hasselblad for one solid camera with great performance. From the interesting bokeh effects to the 30x combo zoom, we expect there to be the best seen this year in 2022 as well.
There are no jaw-dropping new features, such as the periscope and other extreme zoom solutions. We expect news from the point of view software but it seems that OnePlus wants to continue smoothly in its search for the perfect smartphone camera.
The sensor for selfies and video calls is also excellent, which should be from 32MP.
OnePlus 10 Pro, features to scream under the body
As for the processor, the OnePlus 10 Pro is expected to have the brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC (which until before the announcement was known online as Snapdragon 898). Nothing surprising: a top-of-the-range chip for a smartphone that spares no expense. There should be two versions of the smartphone, one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage, one with 12 / 256GB. Just enough to meet any request you may make to a smartphone, at record speed.
The battery increases significantly, going from 4,500 mAh to 5,000. So the full day of autonomy should be more than guaranteed. For now, the information on charging is still uncertain. But it looks like it could come with one record speed from 125W, which should recharge the smartphone in minutes. However, we will have to wait for the first tests to understand how many.
Screen and design
If the next OnePlus is super powerful, the screen should live up to a lot of hardware. In fact it should be a panel 6.7-inch AMOLED fluid, with resolution QHD + gives 1440 x 3216 pixels. With a density of 526 ppi and 90% screen-to-body ratio (thanks also to the punch-hole design of the selfie camera), it promises to be awe-inspiring. The refresh rate da 120Hz.
The device should be thick only 8.5mm, 163mm high and 73.8mm wide. Do not miss the IP68 protection against water. What is missing, however, is the jack input: you will have to rely on Bluetooth or a USB-C adapter for your headphones.
The new OnePlus 10 Pro therefore promises to have all the features that made us fall in love with the first. With an updated processor but above all with unprecedented fast charging. All the conditions to compete with the top of the range again next year. Now we just have to wait to see it officially, to really understand if it will be one of the best smartphones of 2022.
