The network test of Elden Ring has now concluded a few weeks ago, but many fans are still particularly hungry for information about Elden Ring, the new work of FromSoftware coming next February. To make the community dream, the developers thought once again, with a small video clip of Elden Ring that could reveal the presence of a moral system within the game.
Elden Ring: the new video clip
As we know, Elden Ring is set up as a Open World of Souls mold, practically a unicum within the current panorama of soulslike, which does not but has failed to generate enthusiasm in the fans of the software house. We had the opportunity to test the goodness of the playful dough in the network test and in the various trailers we have seen in the past few weeks, but this time the developers have been more cryptic.
On the account Twitter Elden Ring official in fact appeared a post with a small video of just 15 seconds, which indicates in the description that the Lightless protagonist could have several moral paths in front of him. Here is the caption: “Many paths open for those seeking the Ancestral Ring, and not all are virtuous paths”.
Of course it comes to a rather vague phrase, but many are already theorizing that it may imply something more, such as the presence of a real player in the game moral system. Such a mechanic would not be new in the context of open world video games, and it would be interesting to see how FromSoftware could decline it within a Souls. One of the most obvious solutions would be to deal with a story able to diverge in some key due to our actions, perhaps with specific skills dedicated to positive and negative karmo.
It must also be said that in the video we see what looks like a panorama of the Tomb of the autumn colors, which could imply a change of season within the various regions, but at the moment it is difficult to say if this is actually the case or if it is. simply another play area.
