Apple launched iOS 15 just a few months ago, yet the new update is already installed on 60% of compatible devices. More specifically, this adoption rate has been achieved in just 80 days from the official launch of the new operating system. If you remember well, in fact, Apple presented it at the WWDC event in June of this year. Let’s go then to discover something more.
iOS 15: In just 80 days, it reaches 60% of installations
Third-party analytics company Mixpanel reports that nearly 60% of compatible devices are now running Apple’s latest iOS 15. The 36%instead, it continues to opt for iOS 14, which once again proves to be particularly appreciated by users. Not surprisingly, although the new update has a good adoption rate, this is still lower than that of the previous iOS 14. Indeed, according to the data, a fair share of users are not updating their device, despite being compatible with the new iOS. Probably, they are waiting for the operating system to present a stable jailbreak tool to really decide to update it.
To this we must add that the previous iOS 14 turned out to be a much bigger update than the new iOS 15. The latter, in fact, only adds more control over notifications, as well as a series of updates for the stock. But apparently, Apple is pretty confident that the adoption rate of the new operating system will increase again in the coming weeks. Among other things, it could even be soon iOS 15.2 released, which will put users in front of a fairly clear decision. And you? Have you already updated your iPhone or are you planning to do so soon?
