With the new AMD Radeon PRO Software for Enterprise drives arrived at version 21.Q4 there are many interesting news, including support for the well-known Blender 3.0 software
AMD has released Radeon PRO Software for Enterprise 21.Q4 which offers, year over year, an increase in performance in professional applications such as + 44% in Catia and + 23% in the overall geomean as well as additional new and improved features.
AMD Radeon PRO Software for Enterprise: the news
- Blender 3.0 support – In close technical collaboration with Blender, the new driver enables the update of Cycles X in Blender 3.0 with validated AMD GPUs. Using the open-source AMD HIP API, AMD has developed a new way to adopt the standard code that Blender uses for GPU acceleration and elaborated it for AMD devices.
- AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR – Cutting-edge upscaling technology enters the corporate space, supporting design professionals to improve performance in content creation workflows, such as real-time architectural rendering. Leading architectural visualization software partners – Lumion and ACCA Software – support FSR in their applications, others to be announced.
- Frame Rate Target Control (FRTC) – FRTC saves energy by extending battery life thanks to controlled energy consumption.
- Microsoft Windows 11 – Radeon PRO Software for Enterprise 21.Q4, tested and validated on Windows 11, provides access to the latest Windows features
Support for Blender

Blender 3.0 Release is now supported on some AMD graphics cards. In fact, the Blender Cycles X update is now supported by the latest AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 21.12.1 or Radeon PRO Software for Enterprise 21.Q4 drivers, and offers significant performance improvements. For example, in benchmarking, i results show an increase in a series of Blender demo scenes up to 1.97x average with AMD Radeon PRO W6800 and up to 2.12x in selected scenes on AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT.
