Only one episode left for the end of Hawkeye’s first season e new characters continue to be introduced. The theory is increasingly confirmed that the purpose of this series within the Marvel universe is precisely to present these characters.
The latter was a episode aimed at revelations, makes us discover more and more of the characters already in the dance and introduces a much anticipated one at the end, leaving the usual cliff-hanger that always makes the episode seem too short, despite exceeding 45 minutes of final cut.
Ronin is a episode that chooses to give strength to the characters, forced, through the dialogues, to face the most important themes of the series: what it means to be a hero, to trust someone, to choose your own path, wondering if it is right to follow your idols and your models of life. Why, after all, every superhero is also a human being. In this way the story takes steps forward, without however giving the feeling of unnecessary filler.
Key moments
All the protagonists of the story have in front of them a path that seems outlined and keeps them imprisoned in some way. It is a way to go almost with your eyes closed, but it is precisely in these forty minutes that, in one way or another, each of them will be forced to change perspective and point of view, to make a choice above all.
One of the key events of this episode was the confrontation between Yelena, who entered the scene at the end of last episode, and Kate highlighting how they are two completely different personalities, but, in any case, two characters who need to compete in combat to find a part of identity. But, there is also another fighter who is highlighted in this episode: the villain Echo, who, especially in the episode finale, he will have to question some of his thoughts and dogmas that they were pushing her to act in a certain way.
In conclusion
This fifth episode of Hawkeye returns to being full of movement, e mix the cards in the boards a bit, also adding a couple of aces from another deck. From the point of view of narrative cues we are talking about a fairly full episode, and which introduces a season finale that will in any case live up to expectations.
