According to the latest rumors that have emerged on the web, Final Fantasy VII Remake parte 2 it will be a PlayStation 5 exclusive and should arrive as early as 2023. A date much closer than expected, especially if we consider that Final Fantasy 16 should be released this year and that it took many years before the first part of this ambitious remake saw the light.
Will Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 be Released in 2023?
The rumor in question was released by the well-known insider Nate the Hate, who however specified that the release of the second part of the remake largely depends on the launch window of Final Fantasy 16. This element suggests that the sequel to the adventures of Cloud and companions is currently scheduled for the end of 2023, and any delays in the sixteenth chapter could make it postpone to the following year.
Nate also explained that Final Fantasy VII Remake part 2 will not be a cross generational title and that, consequently, there will not be a version dedicated to PlayStation 4. This of course in the hope that PlayStation 5 stocks will stabilize by the date the game is scheduled to launch.
Despite these predictions, there is to be considered that Square Enix is a software house particularly prone to delaying the release date of its titles, so an expansion of the times is not absolutely to be excluded, indeed it is probably to be considered as almost probable. Despite this, it seems that the work on the remake is proceeding well and at a brisk pace.
We take this opportunity to remind you in this regard that Yoshinori Kitase recently talked about the series, hinting between the lines that some news on part 2 could arrive this year. To find out the truth, we just have to wait for official news from the software house.
