Dyson and the second edition of the global dust study. A study conducted on 12,309 respondents in 11 countries in the four corners of the globe (USA, Australia, Japan, China, South Korea, France, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Italy and Turkey) which focuses on people’s cleaning habits and behaviors, focusing on the “understanding” of dust in domestic environments and the impact it can have on our health and well-being, also because during the last two years, in full pandemic moment, more people they became pet owners.
Dyson announces the second edition of the global dust study
The World Health Organization has estimated that 90% of our time is spent indoors: a percentage of time that has probably increased following the pandemic, which has made smart working the norm. Indeed, some studies suggest that our prolonged exposure to indoor environments and dust may have had an impact on our well-being.
In this regard, Dyson’s “mission” is to understand what the powder contains and what correlation it has with human health and well-being. In the last 30 years, therefore, the analyzes have concerned household dust, also because Dyson is the only world manufacturer of vacuum cleaners to have internal microbiology laboratories and to have a dust mite farm to understand the real composition of the same. in order to develop technologies capable of removing it completely and keeping the home environment as healthy as possible.
To fight the dust, Dyson always believes there is a new and more technologically advanced way to get to the best. This is why the company has developed pioneering technologies, such as the integrated laser brush and the piezoelectric sensor, to which the Dyson Omniglide has been added.
