According to the latest rumors, Apple could present a new one 30W GaN power supply in 2022, which would serve to reload the new one MacBook Air. The device could arrive tomorrow during the Peek Performance presentation event.
Apple will launch a 30W GaN power supply for the MacBook Air
In accordance to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reports, which has repeatedly predicted the launch of Apple products correctly, along with the new MacBook Air should arrive a new power supply. Which it should take advantage of GaN technology, which allows you to build smaller but also more efficient power supplies than those based on silicon.
Last year Apple had presented a version of this charger from 140W for the new MacBook 16-inch Pro. But instead a smaller one should arrive, so that you can carry the charger with you even on the edge or in the backpack together with the MacBook Air.
Tomorrow Apple could present a new variant of the MacBook Air, equipped with a M2 processor. A device that should guarantee enough computing power for office work and also for some graphics performance (even without the power of the Pros). But above all it should still be thinner and lighter.
A GaN power supply would make particular sense for the MacBook Air, allowing for smaller, more efficient chargers instead of the current ones. In recent years, several manufacturers have successfully introduced similar devices and Apple seems to want to give it “official” variant of the battery chargerand together with MacBook Air.
The charger could then also become useful for other devices, perhaps the Apple AR viewer? For now there are no other details, but if Apple were to present MacBook Air tomorrow, we could have immediately confirmed or denied this indiscretion. We will keep you posted.
