According to a persistent rumor, Sony is working on a “famous intellectual property” by Konami. Here are the details
With a new PlayStation Showcase taking place this month, there have been numerous reports of what might be revealed in the course of the event in question. A new trailer for Hogwarts Legacy looks increasingly likely, at the very least. However, another rumor has been making the rounds of the Web recently. According to this rumor, Sony would be ready to let out on PlayStation the return of an “extremely popular” franchise of Konami in the fourth quarter of 2022. Sony: is the giant developing new Konami titles such as metal Gear Solid or Silent Hill?
The news came from the profile VGnewsinsider on Twitter. The user later stated that he would have more information on whether they were first party or third party franchises. However, in a new tweet, he revealed that “Sony has acquired the rights to an IP Konami very popular. More information has been promised for next week ”.

The obvious assumption is that it is Silent Hill O Metal Gear Solid. Rumors of remakes and / or new games for both franchises have been circulating for ages with the Sony name making a comeback frequently. However, no formal announcement has ever been made, so take this latest report with the pliers. Also, as far as we know, the “big” remake Sony would be working on (which could be a new game Sly Cooper it’s the inFamous) may be completely different from the above titles.
As for Konami, the hypothesis that Sony develops an IP of the company under license makes much more sense than the outright purchase of the well-known Japanese company.
