Elden Ring it can be a lot of play difficultespecially for novice players: for this reason we at Tech Princess have prepared a guide on how to become very strong already at the beginning of the game: we will see this method applied in particular to Margitthe first mandatory boss of the game, since it has been and still is a wall for many players and very well returns the power level of what we are about to tell you
Elden Ring: how to defeat Margit the easy way
The system we are going to propose is structured in three main steps, two of a general nature, which will be useful to you for all the bosses and challenges that Sepolcride will put in front of you, and one specifically designed to punish Margit in the worst way. Let’s start with the two general passages, starting with a trip to Forte Haightwhich is located in the southeastern part of Sepolcride.
This place is also the subject of a quest related to an NPC that you will find at the edge of the Darkwood and houses several soldiers of Godrick, who will give you a warm welcome as soon as you approach the gates of the castle. The opponent we care about, however, is at the top of the structure, this captain here, who once defeated will give us the war ash called Bloody Slash.
This ash is applicable to edged weapons and we essentially need it for two things: the first is the special ability, which does very high damage at the cost of a very small percentage of our health, the second is linked to the fact that, by applying it to a weapon, we can also infuse it with status bleedingwhich once inflicted removes a percentage of health from the target enemy.
The best thing about all of this is that if we apply it to a weapon that already bleeds naturally, like theUchigatana, for example, it will further increase its status value, which in fact makes it useful in virtually any scenario. Be careful though: since the blood upgrade of weapons scales on Arcane, I do not advise you to rely on this ash in the long term, unless you want to focus on this stat.
A Medusa as a friend
The second step is very simple, and trivially consists in having us donate the Spirit Medusa from Rodericka, which you can find at the hut towards Great Storm Castle. This jellyfish is a really great spirit, as she has a lot of health and can inflict both bleeding and poison, which is why we will use it during Margit’s bossfight.
But speaking of the good Margit it is the moment of the third step, that is the one designed specifically for him. To implement it we will have to go to the Cavern of Murky Watersnear Agheel Lake, and unlock the shop of an old consciousness of ours, none other than Patches himself, a recurring NPC in FromSoftware games.
Once saved in his bossfight he will sell us the Margit’s seal, an object able to immobilize the aforementioned boss for a few seconds during the bossfight with some limitations. First of all it is possible to do it only twice and it does not last very long, which is why I advise you to use it only when you are already close to him; then during its second phase it doesn’t work, so, you’ll have to activate it both times in the first.
The clash with Margit
Having made all these premises, all that remains is to throw ourselves into the heat of the battle and try to make the fight with Margit in Elden Ring easy. The first thing to do of course is to summon the jellyfish, in such a way that it catches Margit’s attention while we are there we will position well to activate the sigil both times and then blast it away while we can.
This way you should make him bleed at least twice and, depending on the weapon you are using, you could even stun him and reposte him, dealing even more damage to him.
Despite all this the second phase will take place more or less normallyalthough you can rely on the weapon’s special ability, the Blood Slash, which should finish the job without any problem.
Speaking of our test, we implemented this method with an upgraded weapon at + 3 and level 22, so relatively below average compared to the average level where the boss is usually faced. As we told you, this system is applicable to practically the whole Sepulcride, but be careful not to abuse it: you could trivialize most fights this way.
