Missing less and less at the release of Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong, and less than two months after its launch, the new narrative RPG is shown in a new trailer.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong will be released in May 2022
The expectation is growing for the release of Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong, scheduled for May thanks to the collaboration between Swansong, NACON and Big Bad Wolf Studio. We already know that the videogame will be a narrative RPG, set in a Boston made of secrets and vampires. The latter live in community, but are afflicted by a real crisis. So here, to shed light on these mysteries, comes the new official trailer that shows us the game play. To shed light up to a certain point, however, after all they are still vampires.
The story begins when mysterious assassins attack a secret society in Boston called the Camarilla. The latter includes almost all the vampires of the city. Thus it happens that Hazel Iversen, prince of the Organization, sends three members of the Camarilla to investigate the identity and intentions of the attackers.
Players will then have to investigate and solve puzzles. Not only that, however, as they will have special powers that they can use to try to reveal the secrets that the various characters hide. All through a complex and captivating game mechanics based on the three characters that the player will decide to command. In fact, each of these has a backstory and characteristics. There are those, like Leysha, who can infiltrate environments without being seen. Or Enem, which can reach places inaccessible to other humans (and vampires). Or Galeb, who has the power to dominate the mind of others.
Be careful though, because some NPCs will be quite difficult. It will therefore be up to the player to face the “Confrontations”, fights in the form of dialogue in which the player must find the right arguments and use Skills and Disciplines to convince the other person to reveal her secrets.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong will be available on PC (Epic Games Store) and consoles starting in May 19, 2022.
