Instagram just announced Favorites e Followedthe new options that will help users choose what to see in their feeds. The company actually intends to offer its users the possibility of personalize their experience even more on Instagram and make sure they can easily find the most interesting content. Instagram Favorites and Followers: what are they?
The Instagram feed is a mix in photo e videos of the people followedOf suggested posts and more. The company said it is working for add additional suggested posts based on interests. Instead the new options announced today, Favorites e Followedconstitute a new way to find out about people’s most recent posts that follow each other on the platform.
By choosing the mode Favoritesi will be shown most recent posts of profiles added to a previously created list. The list can contain your favorite creators or even your best friends, your favorite singers and more. On top of that, your favorite account posts will be displayed higher also in the traditional feed.
With the mode Followedinstead, they will be shown the posts of the people you follow. Both Favorite and Followed modes will show posts in chronological orderso users can always stay up to date on the latest news.
To choose between the two different modes, just tap the Instagram logo at the top left and choose which one to view, as shown in the image above.
How the Favorites list works
To see the most recent posts from profiles added to your favorites list, just select Favorites. A maximum of 50 account and changes can be made at any time.
People will not be notified when they are added or removed from this list. The posts of the profiles in the Favorites list will also be displayed higher up in the home feed, in the “Followed” mode feed and will be identifiable by a star icon.
