L ightyear, the true story of Buzz, from Pixar will be present at the cinema but not at the Cannes film festival!
Lightyear – the real story of Buzzimaginary “origin story” of the real Buzz from Toy Story, will be the next Pixar effort, rumors also assumed that the film could be released at the presentation of the Cannes festival, to be held from May 17 to 28, 2022but according to Deadline these rumors are unfounded, having no correspondence with reality.
The movie, Lightyear – Buzz’s True Storyis not included in the Cannes lineup, but this does not mean that its release in cinemas is not confirmed or that it is less important for this reason alone.
Lightyear: his return to the cinema
As denoted by the last two Pixar feature films, by Buzz Lightyear, at least in the countries where the Disney + platform is present, we see that Luca and Red have skipped the theatrical release. By Enrico Casarosa and Domee Shi, become exclusive streaming of that same service.
The film, Lightyear – Buzz’s True Story, is by Angus MacLane which will only be seen in theaters from June 15th. A real return for the Buzz, which we all know, but it is a pity that it is no longer our protagonist, the story of facts tells the adventures of the “real” space ranger.
The same name that would have inspired the toy received as a gift from Andy back in 1995, when the very first Pixarian Toy Story changed the history of cinema.
Angnus McLane himself had already dealt with that universe by directing the surprise short film (2011) and the special Toy Story of Terror (2013) and then also collaborating on the search for Dory in 2016.
