In talking about the second season of Halo Infinite, Joseph Staten gave a little more context to the trailer.
“Who are the lone wolves? They are Spartans who operate far behind the front line, well before the rear. They lead to interesting questions, for example: what if two of them find something very dangerous, operating in great secrecy? What if they brought something very, very dangerous to the academy? By introducing something so dangerous in a safe context, how would you, as players, react? “
Staten concluded defining this “basic idea”, that is: “there are miners out there, who have found something dangerous and interesting … what happens when they bring it back?”
Following the release of the excerpt from the introduction you see above, Staten unbuttoned himself further.
“We want to make sure that all of you are at the center of the story, moving events forward, and if such a crisis starts, you have to be the solution. This cutscene takes you straight to the first event of the season… no spoilers, but the interaction between the problem to be solved and the player is what leads to this seasonal narrative. “
The existence of a customizable avatar and first-person cutscenes, both elements comparable to the Fortnite macrotrama, are part of a vision to which Staten look “From the earliest times” with Halo.
