Among the projects on which Intel is at work there too Project Amber. This is a new service that will provide organizations with the remote verification of reliability in cloud, edge and on-premises environments. The project explores one of the most important security elements for any organization: the “trust“. Project Amber aims to introduce an independent trust certification authority.
Intel works on Project Amber: aim to ensure security
With Project Amber, businesses can remotely verify the reliability of an IT resource in cloud, edge and on-premise environments. Intel’s service operates independently from the infrastructure provider hosting the confidential computing workloads. With Project Amber, Intel takes the first step towards the birth of a new multi-cloud and multi-TEE service for third-party attestation. Intel has announced that the goal is to complete the launch of a pilot version of the project for customers by second half of 2022. Subsequently, the global availability of the project is expected for the first half of 2023. It will therefore be necessary to wait for the next few months for new details on this new project and its implementation.
