Coromon review: novelty with a nostalgic flavor

Microsoft: Announces File Explorer Tabs in Windows 11

The latest Windows 11 preview build includes a much anticipated feature, as it enables tabs in File Explorer, let’s find out together in this article

Integrated in the title barcard support allows users to work with multiple folders in the same window. If you’ve been in the Windows user base for a while, you probably already know that support for tabs in File Explorer has long been a major feature request.

Microsoft has already tried to make it many years ago with a feature called Set and based on Microsoft Edge. At that point, however, Microsoft’s intention was to bring the cards everywhere in the operating system, including apps, but strategy has failed, when he decided to give up the Edge with technology EdgeHTML and go to Chromium.

At that point, the company suggested that the cards might come back at another time, with a new shape.

Microsoft: Announces File Explorer Tabs in Windows 11

Microsoft’s words

The company explained:

We’re taking Sets offline to keep making it great. Some of the things we’re focusing on include visual design improvements, continuing to better integrate Office and Microsoft Edge into Sets, to improve workflow. If you have tested the sets, you will no longer see it as of today’s build, however, the sets will return in the future.

Oral cards I am finally active in build 25136 preview of Windows 11, although Microsoft says the launch is going happening gradually and not all users will see it from today.

Microsoft then added:

To help you work in multiple locations at once, the File Explorer title bar now has tabs. We would love your feedback on the features of the tabs you would like to see later.

For now, there is no AND about when this highly anticipated functionality it may be published for all other non-privileged devices.
