Thanks to public interventionsItaly will be the first country in Europe to be able to count on high-performance 5G mobile networks entirely bound in optical fiber. The goal is to ensure high-speed, low-latency Internet access everywhere. It is therefore an important step forward for the country. The new funds for fast Internet in Italy, through 5G and optical fiber, will guarantee the expansion of ultra-broadband with significant benefits for users and businesses.

Here are the words of the minister Vittorio Colao: “I am very satisfied. In 13 months we approved the Italian strategy, obtained the European authorizations, published and assigned all the PNRR calls and invested a value of about 5.5 billion euros, with the ambitious goal of connecting all of Italy by 2026 with networks at very high fixed and mobile speeds “
