The journey of the heroes therefore traces the path of Italy in that world championship. The film is directed by Manlio Castagna and is narrated by one of the most beloved actors of Italian cinema: Marco Giallini. His voice will retrace the salient stages of that undertaking, from the historic victory over Brazil to the final triumph, from the iconic exultation of the then President of the Republic Sandro Pertini to the general frenzy that broke out in the streets all over Italy to celebrate that unexpected event. and incredible success.
