The new ASRock Intros WRX80 Creator motherboard for Threadripper PRO 5000 processors has been presented in the last few hours
ASRock Inc.(or simply ASRock, click here for more info on the company) is a motherboard, industrial PC and HTPC manufacturer, headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, chaired by Ted Hsu. It was founded in 2002 and is currently owned by Pegatron Corporation, which has been part of ASUSTeK since 2007.
Details on the new ASRock Intros WRX80 Creator motherboard
ASRock Company today unveiled the WRX80 Creatora motherboard Socket WRX8 for workstation processors AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO series 5000. Built in the E-ATX form factor, the board draws power from a combination of connectors ATX a 24 pin, 6-pin PCIe and two 8-pin EPS connectors. The main focus of this motherboard is memory 8-channel DDR4, with all eight memory slots on this card having a dedicated memory channel. Seven slots are available PCI-Express 4.0 x16, of which five operate at full x16 bandwidth and two can steal 8 lanes each from two of the other x16 slots. So x16 / x16 / x16 / NC / x16 / NC / x16, or x16 / x16 / x8 / x8 / x8 / x8 / x16.
Connectivity
Storage connectivity on ASRock WRX80 Creator includes two slots M.2 PCIe Gen 4 and a door U.2beyond eight SATA 6 Gbps. Network interfaces include due 10 GbE, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 e 1 GbE used by the IPMI controller. By the way, an ASPEED AST2500 provides basic displays and various remote management features. USB connectivity includes two ports USB4 da 40 Gbps with mini-DP inputs for DisplayPort passthrough, four ports USB 3.2 10 Gbps and a number of ports USB 3.2 is 5 Gbps. A premium integrated audio solution with a Realtek ALC1220 and TI NE5532 headphone amplifier does the rest. The company hasn’t disclosed pricing yet.
