As far as we know, Apple is expected to announce four new iPhone 14 models on September 7th. These include the so-called “iPhone 14 Max”, which is a standard model with display da 6.7 inches. Apparently, however, this may have a different name. A photo shared by Twitter user “Tommy Boi“, in fact, points out that this new model could be called iPhone 14 Plus.
Will iPhone 14 Plus be the new 6.7-inch iPhone?
According to a photo of an alleged Apple iPhone case, shared by Twitter user “Tommy Boi”, the new 6.7-inch model may actually be called the “iPhone 14 Plus”. If so, next 7 September we should see the presentation of the 6.1-inch iPhone 14, 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus, 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max. Of course, it should be considered that the photo may be a fake made with Photoshop, but there are good reasons why the name may be the real one.
First of all, the name “iPhone 14 Plus” could help distinguish the device from the iPhone 14 Pro Max, and clarify that the device is not a model at the top in terms of technical specifications, despite having a large 6.7-inch display. After all, Apple last used the “Plus” branding for the iPhone 8 Plus in 2017. Since then, it has used the “Max” branding for its larger iPhones, including iPhone XS Max, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro Max. For this naming, there would be only one question: Apple selling an iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max along with an iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max would certainly provide some consistency. But we will find out soon.
