Zuckerberg writes: “We are rolling out Call Links on WhatsApp starting this week, so you can share a linke to initiate a call with a single tap. We are also testing the secure encrypted video calls for up to 32 people. And more to come “.
The WhatsApp team also informs us that i test for group video calls they are already seeing over a thousand tests every day, to ensure quality and performance. There is no release date yet, but it looks very close judging by the confidence of Zuckerberg and his team.
WhatsApp certainly has valid competitors in terms of messaging, such as Telegram and Signal. But given its large user base, it does not fear comparison with other services, such as those for video calling. The ability to go into the calls section and click on “Create a link” it will be convenient for users, so that they can connect at specific times or for particular events.
