The WhatsApp team also informs us that i test for group video calls they are already seeing over a thousand tests every day, to ensure quality and performance. There is no release date yet, but it looks very close judging by the confidence of Zuckerberg and his team.
WhatsApp certainly has valid competitors in terms of messaging, such as Telegram and Signal. But given its large user base, it does not fear comparison with other services, such as those for video calling.
