PRESS START: IIDEA makes available the Guide to videogame professions
The day started at 10:30, with the institutional greetings of Luisa BixioVice President of IIDEA e Luca RoncellaHead of Gaming & Digital Interactivity of the Museum and with an introduction by Andrea Dresseno, curator of PRESS START. The first day will close today with the award ceremony of the Video Game Student Awards (which we told you about in more depth here).
IIDEA also shared the “Guide to videogame professions“. It is a collector of data and notions with respect to the growing video game market in Italy. In 2021, in Italy, professionals employed in the production of video games are over 1600, compared to 1100 in 2018. In the last 2 years, 35% of companies have hired new staff, 59% plan to do so in the next two years. The sector is able to generate professional opportunities especially for the younger generations (79% of employees are under the age of 36) and in different areas. This represents a great value added in terms of specialist skills, such as technology, art and design, as well as management and support.
