To celebrate the milestone of the 27 million registered playersSquare Enix today announces the fan festival of Final Fantasy XIV. The event will start in summer 2023 in the United States and Europe and will continue in 2024 in Japan. The first two western cities announced are Las Vegas (Nevada) and London.
The announcement came during the 73ª Letter from the Producer LIVEa digital event during which Naoki Yoshidaproducer and director of the game, revealed that the title has reached 27 million players worldwide.
When and where the next Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festivals will take place
At the moment the details regarding the live events are scarce, but we already know the dates and locations. The first date is for the 28 and 29 July 2023, at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA). The Festival will then stop in Europe on 21 and 22 October at The ExCel Center in London (UK). Finally we will move in Japan in early 2024with dates and locations yet to be formalized.

Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.25 Coming Soon: What We Know
In addition to community events, the Letter from the Producer LIVE broadcast revealed some news related to 6.25 patch of the game which will be released on October 18th. Below are the announced contents
- New side missions: Somehow Further Hildibrand Adventures continuerà nella patch 6.25.
- Weapon Upgrade Missions: Manderville Weapons can be obtained and improved over the course of the 6.x patch series.
- New Tribal Quest – Omicron: new daily missions for Disciples of the Land.
- New “Variant Dungeons” battle content: it will be possible to play dungeons of varying difficulty, starting with the Sil’dihn Subterrane (designed for 1-4 players), with the difficulty of the enemies that changes according to the size of the group. You will explore the dungeons with Nanamo, and there will be various ramifications that will change according to your actions within them. In each branch you will be able to obtain folios, which you can then assemble to solve secrets and complete the entire story.
- Criterion Dungeon: High difficulty content for four players with an area that visually resembles Variant Dungeons, but with a well-defined path. Criterion Dungeons will include two difficulty options, each with its own specific rules and characteristics.
