The debut of the new Samsung Galaxy S23 is getting closer and closer. In these hours, confirming an advanced stage of development, a prototype of the future Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus has appeared on GeekBench, confirming some specifications. The model in question, SM-S916U, is intended for the American market.
Samsung Galaxy S23: on display in a first benchmark
The test on Geekbench confirms some details of the data sheet of the new Galaxy S23 Plus. The smartphone appeared in the benchmark with the SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Supported by 8 GB of RAM and the Android 13 operating system.
The presence of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is not surprising given that the SoC will be used by the top of the range of Samsung on the American market. It is possible, but there is no confirmation yet, that iQualcomm’s SoC is used by all variants of the Galaxy S23 in all marketing markets. Samsung could drop its Exynos chips in this case.
Furthermore, according to some rumors, Samsung could unveil its new flagship already by the end of 2022 and then start sales at the beginning of 2023. We will know more, no doubt, in the next few weeks. We remind you that the range will consist of three variants. In addition to S23 Plus there will, in fact, be S23 base. To complete the family we will find S23 Ultra which will be the real Samsung flagship for 2023.
