Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky has indeed shown in a video on Twitter how it is possible to tick “show the total price” on the platform to see the price with all the commissions added. And you will see it both on Research than on mapas well as on pages of housing.
This decision comes after Airbnb itself promised greater transparency last year, initiating a “extended review“ of extra expenses lo last December.
According to the Wall Street Journal, this year the platform would have studied compromises that could satisfy both those who rent their home and arriving guests. Then test these new features on a limited number of users: such as the ability to filter by full price instead of by cost per night.
