Through a press release, Square Enix announced the official arrival on all shelves of Tactics Ogre Reborn, a re-edition of the first chapter of the Square Enix series, with an exciting launch trailer
That Square Enix is working on titles that are very much awaited by the general public is indisputable: just think of Final Fantasy XVI or the upcoming Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII Reunion. However, the company also has the magical power to bring to the screen even small pearls with less high-sounding names, such as the series of Voice of Cards or the recent Harvestella. Today, it was Square Enix who announced, through a press release, the arrival of another of these pearls: Tactics Ogre Reborn. The Tactical RPG is a reissue of the original, released in 1995, and has arrived on PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch and Steam with its high definition graphic reworking, an updated combat system and major improvements to the audio sector.
Enhancements also include fully dubbed footage (in English and Japanese), sound effects recreated from scratch and a re-recorded live soundtrack composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto. All of these elements contribute to a new experience that will appeal to both Tactics Ogre veterans and a new generation of gamers. Set in the islands of Valeria, pearls of the Obero Sea, Tactics Ogre Reborn tells of lands and inhabitants in an eternal struggle for control of their borders. The conflict was brought to an end by a man named Dorgalua Oberyth, known as “Dynast-Kink”, who has worked to bring peace and prosperity for half a century. After his death, of course, came the civil war between the factions in search of power. Our protagonist is Denam Pavel, destined to make very difficult decisions that will change the fate of the world. We leave you the launch trailer disclosed by Square Enix right below.

The re-release of Tactics Ogre Reborn is very sophisticated and will allow gamers to fully immerse themselves in the intrigues of the narrative. We will take control of a group of units on the battlefield and use a turn-based combat system to act strategically and turn the tide of the fight. During the adventure we will be able to enlarge our party by recruiting new units, trying different classes, weapons, spells and abilities and making important decisions that will change the course of events during various moments in the story. In addition to the standard edition, available in both physical and digital, a digital premium edition is available on all platforms (except Nintendo Switch) which also contains the original Tactics Ogre: Reborn soundtrack.
