The best-seller of best-sellers. After countless video games inspired by movies, books and visual works, too the Bible has officially arrived on Steam. From today it is in fact possible to relive the events narrated in the sacred text through a visual novel. The “game” (which is not a real game) also includes a section of curiosities and trivia quizzes to “test the knowledge of anyone who thinks they really know the Holy Scriptures”.
Users can also listen to the work in audiobook form, complete with an original soundtrack.
The Bible has arrived on Steam
The digitized version of the Bible on Steam is only available in english language and is based on the King James Version of the Bible (the reference text for English-speaking versions). The concept was developed by a software house with a predictable but not obvious name: Bible Games. The Bible is currently available on Steam (at this link) at a 30% discount, priced at 8,36€. The offer will last until November 21, after which the price will return to €12.49. But who can tell, maybe it will come back for granted in view of Christmas.
The official Steam description reads:
“A digital recreation of the Bible in visual novel form! Read and save the passages in any order, or listen to the greatest story ever told in audiobook form with an original soundtrack. Explore the extensive Trivia section, to find out how much you really know the stories of the Holy Scriptures”.
