For the first time in history i Grammy Awards 2023 introduce the category Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media che premierà the best soundtrack for a video game or interactive media.
This is the first time in the history of the prestigious award reserved for the best of world music. It must be said in the past several video game soundtrack composers had received a Grammy for their works. Among these we mention Christopher Tin (for Civilization 4 music) or Charlie Rosen e Jake Silverman for the arrangement of Meta Knight’s Revenge from the video game Kirby Super Star. However there was no dedicated category.

The nominations for the category are:
- Austin Wintory – Alien: Fireteams Elite
- Steph Economou – Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: L’Alba del Ragnarok
- Bear McCreary – Call of Duty: Vanguard
- Richard Jacques – Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
- Christopher Tin – Old World
The 2023 Grammy nominations chart is led by Beyonce, with 9 nominations. They follow Kendrick Lamar (8) e Adele (7). Also present with four nominations Taylor Swift, who is dominating the global charts with the latest album Midnights. There will also be Måneskin, vying for the prize Best New Artist.
The 2023 Grammy Awards ceremony will be held on February 5, 2023.
